Our Women have been raped over the centuries. This only stops when we run or when we fight. This fight is upon us. The rules of engagement, The South African Constitution, stacked up against us. a Higher hand calling us to task.

 We have one option and one option only. Live in peace with they neighbors or live elsewhere. From The Oceans in The south to The Deserts in The North, The White man is feeding the World. This is what we do on The Africa Continent. We can fall in Hubris or we can stand up in Righteousness. The choice is ours. Our leadership is cast in stone. The Foundation of our Genes.

We know what to do and we have the ability to do it. Let us stand up as individuals and lead our Nation to Peace.

Religion 101 - Should the church pay taxes?

First we have to look at the modern reasons why the church does not pay tax. As usual any research ends up in the American way of thinking; but the question of taxation and churches predates the American Constitution by centuries. Tax exemption for churches grew out of this history, not out of early American political theory. We can get back to that in a while.
“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.”

This is some of the reasoning:

 If we tax churches, then we will need to tax all not-for-profit organizations.
Now that is bloody debatable! A picture says a thousand words…..

To tax churches, government would need to have the (currently unconstitutional) authority to audit and regulate churches.

So the church is the IDEAL place to run illegal activities, launder money for arms, drugs and maybe even Rhino horn. Forgive me but I am a pretty cynical chap.


There are too many modern arguments put forward for non-taxation of the church to list them all here. Let’s go back a few centuries.


In the Old Testament, priests were exempted from taxation by Pharaoh (Gen. 47:26) and by Persia’s King Artaxerxes (Ezra 7:24).

Oh, so two pagan leaders gave the priests a break. The habit of following pagan traditions in Christianity is a  longer than I thought. Christmas is coming up and  the memes shall be all over Facebook soon, putting Christ back into Christmas etc. God give me strength.

This can go round and round forever, the best way to solve this is to see what Jesus said.

And they marveled at Him.

From a Different Angle 3

Both these photos were taken at a time when I was living in an extremely ugly place and neighborhood.

The first photo was taken in the semi-abandoned factory I was living in. It is one of many that I took and became a part of a collection I called “Though Dirty Windows.”

The second was taken while working on a project with my friend Tanisha, she is a photographic artist who’s work portrays man’s destruction of the environment. We spent a lot of time at one of Johannesburg’s larger dump sites. This lonely boot in the middle of the access road caught my attention.

Some of the photos in this series are going to be poor quality, as they were taken with a cell phone camera, and not a very good cell phone at that! We all get those moments when we curse the fact that our camera is not with us. Or living in South Africa, it has been stolen! They are here just to show “looking from a different angle.”

A person can have the best equipment money can buy, and get a high quality, mega pixel, in focus shot every time, no problem.  But then the composition can be lousy, no matter how interesting the subject is, and if the shot is not pleasing to the eye, is a snapshot, nothing more, nothing less.
So you go learn all about composition, the “rule of thirds”, and even take it further and go for the rule of 5ths. Your photographs are now 100% better, but still not THE best.


At Photography 101 we will not only teach you the above, but will show you how to LOOK, first with your own eyes and only then through the view finder. Some people have a gift, they not only think, but also see, From a Different Angle.  I believe the two are inter-related and that in order to SEE, one first has to THINK…..from a different angle. And that is what we shall teach you way beyond just the basic skills.

Rhino Wars – A 6 year Review Series. Part III

The original article was written in 2011/11/09. If I thought we were losing then, we are not only losing now, we are getting slaughtered, pun intended.

1,175 rhinos were poached in South Africa during 2015.

Rhino Wars – we are losing..

In South Africa we have lost, as I write this, 348 Rhino, but by the time you read this the figure will more than likely be higher.

There was a small spot of bother in a country called Vietnam a good few years back. During that time a terrible thing called Napalm was used, as well as a poison called Agent Orange. Then too, a tactic called carpet-bombing was tried out. More bombs were dropped on North Vietnam than were dropped during the entire 2nd World War! The Rhino survived this apocalypse. This year it was reported by the World Wildlife Fund that those Rhino are no more. The Vietnam Rhino was poached to extinction.
The IFP wants to hold yet another summit, talk, talk. One of the plans that has come up before was to move certain of the Rhino to “safer” areas. This plan really perplexed me. Forgive this ignorant Gypsy for asking but: The poachers have proven to be a highly mobile force that has taken Rhino right next to an APU’s HQ, for one thing. Also, with all the publicity of this project, did we not just tell the poachers bosses exactly where to find a nice concentration of these animals? WTF?
We have at our disposal here in South Africa, some of the best bush soldiers in the world. Many are looking for work. Why are we not using this resource? I ask you with bloody tears in my eyes.

Rhino Wars — Private Military Company vs Anti-Poaching

Took some time to think about which direction I should take in my life. I hate the business world , cities and suburbia; working in the bush, where I belong, was my final decision. But what to do? I am willing to do any job on a game farm, toilet janitor even! I sent out CV’s to over 600 places, received less than 15 replies, all negative, two maybe. Mmmm. All the known anti-poaching units, I know how to do this job. I offered my services for just board and lodging. All negative, indeed it would seem that they do not want men that can do the job?

Next I contacted the private military companies. Now here the response is better. Due to the fact that I worked for the first modern PMC ever, Executive Outcomes, not my winning personality. The pay is astronomical. Afghanistan work is the highest paying at $650.00 a day!!!

Then a a lady that runs a recruitment agency in the UK told me I should look into the poaching in my own country. She said she could send me to Mogadishu or send me a small allowance to find or start an APU here.

My head tells me to go for the money, I am tired of been broke. Modern society has tried to condition me to think it all about the money. To no avail, I might add. More important my heart tells me that the anti-poaching is what I must do. So despite obstacles this is what I SHALL do.

What also surprises me is all these units do not seem to communicate with each other. They are fighting the same war but separately. ?? Ego and money. Meanwhile the animals die.  This mission to get into the anti-poaching is going to be harder than I thought……….. a mine field of problems.

As the story of my Rhino Wars evolves you will see why I had to walk away after nearly 7 years of fighting.

HAWKS SEIZE R5,3 MILLION IN CASH

Western Cape - A Hawks investigation in conjunction with the Department of Transport has led to the arrest of a 33 year old suspect for alleged money laundering, corruption and racketeering.

The suspect, who was allegedly running an illicit licencing and police clearance operation, was arrested by the Unit's Anti Corruption members at his home in Belhar on Sunday.

Almost R5,3 million cash, several ID documents, as well as two vehicles were seized during the search and seizure operation.

The suspect is expected to appear in the Bellville Magistrate's Court on Tuesday.

Investigations continues and possibilities of more arrests cannot be ruled out.
